Compass 360

At Auglaize County ESC, the Compass 360 Learning Center is an innovative, specialized public special education program for students who qualify for intensive, individualized support grounded in applied behavior analysis (ABA). The Compass 360 Learning Center serves students across two comprehensive program levels—Preschool and School-Age—each offering the same high level of structured, evidence-based support while meeting students at different developmental stages.

The Compass 360 Learning Center is overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) and supported by RBT® (Registered Behavior Technician®'s) who work collaboratively with educators and related service providers. This model ensures consistent implementation of ABA-informed strategies, data-driven decision-making, and responsive support throughout the school day.

The Preschool Program provides intensive early intervention that blends learning through purposeful play, foundational academics, and ABA-informed behavioral support within a nurturing, highly structured environment. Instruction focuses on communication, social engagement, early learning skills, and behavior regulation, helping young learners build critical skills that support long-term success.

The School-Age Program offers the same intensive, ABA-integrated approach while expanding academic instruction, functional skill development, and individualized behavior support aligned with each student’s educational goals. In addition to strong academic and behavioral programming, the School-Age level emphasizes socialization, peer interaction, self-regulation, social-emotional learning, and community-based instruction to promote independence, generalization of skills, and meaningful participation beyond the classroom.

Through collaboration with a comprehensive multidisciplinary team—including a BCBA, RBTs, program directors, intervention specialists, paraprofessionals, and related service providers (Speech, OT, PT, Music)—the Compass 360 Learning Center provides coordinated, student-centered support within the public education system. In partnership with local school districts, the program expands access to services families often must seek outside of public school settings, creating meaningful opportunities for students and a strong foundation for future success.
