St. Marys High School Classroom
The Auglaize County Educational Service Center’s High School Program is designed to support students with special needs as they work toward high school graduation and prepare for a successful transition to adult life. Our program provides a rich and supportive educational experience that balances rigorous academic expectations with individualized supports and real-world skill development.
Students receive instruction aligned with grade-level academic standards and high school graduation requirements, with curriculum and teaching strategies differentiated to meet diverse learning needs. Core academics are integrated with essential life skills and specialized instruction to promote independence, self-advocacy, and future readiness.
Program components include:
Standards-based academic instruction in core subject areas
Daily living skills training to build functional independence
Social-emotional learning and communication skills development
Health and safety education for personal well-being
Vocational training and career exploration, including hands-on opportunities
Life skills instruction, including financial literacy, transportation use, and workplace behavior
Individualized transition planning to support post-secondary goals
Through a collaborative, student-centered approach, our high school program equips students not only for graduation but also for meaningful adult roles in the community, workforce, and beyond.
